Kendall & Tony Rife
Both Kendall and Tony worked at The Virginia Florist during high school and college, Kendall in the retail and floral departments and Tony in the delivery department while the store was under the Greens' ownership. That is when Kendall's love for flowers and design blossomed! Kendall earned a B.S. and M.S. in accounting from George Mason University, became a CPA, and started working in public accounting. Kendall never stopped missing working at The Virginia Florist, and dreamed of being able to do that type of work again someday. Tony began training in line work and is now a Lineman. Both Kendall and Tony are native Alexandrians, and have planted their roots in the neighborhood with their two sons and two french bulldogs. Kendall and Tony took over ownership in 2025 and it is a true full circle moment for the Rifes - they are thrilled to be on this journey and to be continuing the legacy of The Virginia Florist!
